One of the residents of the area, Bashir Ahmad, said, “The condition of the road is very bad. At a time of repairing, half stretch of the road was left without macadamization.”

“When repairing of the road was going on, we requested the R&B officials to fill the potholes only if they don’t have the funds for macadamization, but they refused to do so and till date the road has never been repaired,” he added.

When contacted Executive Engineer R&B Shopian, he said, “We have already released a tender for repairing 10 Km stretch of the road and then it will be macadamized also.”

“Prior to the macadamization of the road, we have to ensure that water pipes do not get damaged,” he added.
