Kargil School Olympics: DC reviews arrangements

KARGIL, JULY 22: Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil, Baseer ul Haq Choudhary today reviewed the arrangements being put in place by the District Administration for the inter-school tournament under the banner Kargil School Olympics to be held in the second week of August, 2019.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Sonam Chosjor, Chief Project Engineer PDC Ladakh Fida Hussain Wazir, Chief Executive Officer Kargil Development Authority (KDA) Kargil Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani, Additional SP Kargil Khalid Amin, Assistant Commissioner Development Kargil Ghulam Muhammad, Executive Engineers of PWD besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.

During the course of the meeting the DC inquired from the officers of the various committees including the Planning and Coordination, Registration, Design and Publicity, Venue Identification and Preparation, Transportation, Boarding and Lodging, Preparation of Fixtures, Results and Prize Distribution Committee about the preparations made so far.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of Registration Committee to submit the final list of the interested students from different Government and private schools by 23rd of July and the list of venues for conduct of various indoor and outdoor games by 24th July 2019.

Choudhary also instructed the officers of various committees to work in tandem and close coordination to ensure that all the remaining preparations are put in place well in time so that the School Olympics is conducted in a smooth manner.
