Zahid Ahmad, a local resident of Pulwama district said that government is busy beating the drums of providing free education and free uniforms but the ground reality is totally different.

A senior official of education department told Kashmir Images that this year the contract was given to handloom department for providing quality fabric uniform to government schools.

When contacted Chief Education Officer (CEO) Pulwama, Naseem Ul Ganaie, said: “We were expecting the delivery of uniforms by the end of June but due to unknown reasons, Samgara Shisksha has delayed the distributor of uniforms.”

State Project Director (SPD) Samagra Shiksha, Arun Kumar Manhas, told Kashmir Images that uniforms will be disturbed within a week.
