Tangmarg registers comprehensive win against Wagub

Sopore, June 17: In the ongoing Wular Premier League (WPL), first match of the day was played berween Rising Star Baramulla and Eleven Brothers here at Sheikhul Alam Sports Ground Tarzoo Sopore on Monday.

Bating first Eleven Brothers were bundled out on a paltry score of 94 runs in which Omer Hafiz scored 37 runs and Imran Haroon contributed with 20 runs.

For Rising Star Baramulla, Omer Lone and Shahnaz took 3 wickets each.

In reply, Rising Star Baramulla achieved the target in 14 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Zubair made 35 runs and Tariq Lone 25.

For Eleven Brothers, Imran Haroon and Mukhtar took 1 each.

Shahnaz was declared Man of the match for his all round performance.

Meanwhile, Tangmarg Victoria today defeated WSA Wagub by 36 runs at Sheikhal Alam Sports Ground Tarzoo.

Chasing a target of 140 runs, Wagub were restricted on 104 runs. Adnan 16 and Arshad with 13 runs were the highest scorers for Wagub. For Tangmarg, Aasim and Raja Saleem took 3 wickets each.

Victoria had scored 139 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Khurshid scored 63 runs and John Muhammad made 27 runs for Victoria

For Wagub, Nazir and Saleem took 2 wickets each.

The tournament is being organized by Sports Association Tarzoo.
