Srinagar, 17 April 2019: A patrol was undertaken in Shahgund market which is the hub of the business community in the area wherein Army personnel interacted with shopkeepers as well as taxi owners, a defense spokesman said in a statement.
“ The aim of this interaction was to instill confidence and to create a healthy bonding so that the problems being faced by the locals can be addressed. Such efforts indeed help in creating an environment of peace and growth.
“Also during the informal interaction held the locals expressed hope that recent elections will lead to benefits in terms of employment opportunities and sports infrastructure, all leading to a better future for the people,” said the statement.
