Recruitment rally organized at JAKLI centre

Srinagar: To fulfil the long standing desire of the youth of Jammu & Kashmir to join the Army, a Recruitment Rally was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regimental Centre at Rangreth, Srinagar on 1st & 2nd April 2019, a defense spokesman said in a statement issued today.

First day of the Recruitment Rally was reserved for candidates from Kashmir & Ladakh whereas the second day was reserved for candidates of Jammu region.

During the rally, 1429 aspiring youth from all over J&K turned up for enrolment as Soldier General Duty, Tradesmen and Clerk and participated in it with full enthusiasm, the spokesman said, adding, 1107 candidate cleared the physical screening and will now be put through a detailed medical examination and a Common Entrance Examination.

The spokesman said that the rally was a huge success seeing the enthusiasm and willingness amongst the candidates, who turned up in large numbers. The recruitment will not only give much needed employment, but further embolden the spirit of the youth to adopt the path of righteousness and success.
