Shopian, Mar 22: At least ten civilians and a policeman were injured in the clashes with government forces in Ratnipora area of Shopian in south Kashmir Friday.
Reports said that nine persons suffered pellet injuries while one was hit by bullet in his neck.
The injured were shifted to a nearby health facility wherefrom three of them – one with gunshot wound and two with pellet injuries – were shifted to Srinagar’s SMHS Hospital for specialized treatment.
A policeman identified as Tariq Ahmad was also injured after being hit by a stone during the clashes.
Clashes broke out earlier today soon after a gunfight broke out in Gadapora village of the district today morning in which two militant were killed.
