ADGP Muneer Khan appointed as State Information Commissioner

Srinagar, Mar 02: The Governor Satya Pal Malik today appointed ADGP Muneer Khan as State Information Commissioner of J&K.
An order issued by the Governor Satya Pal Malik, reads, “In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 12(3) of the Jammu and Kashmir right to information act, 2009 (act no. VIII of 2009), I, Satya Pal Malik, Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, hereby appoint Mr. Muneer Ahmad Khan, I-PS, Additional Director General of Police, Security, Law & Order/Home Guards/ Civil Defence/SDRF as the State Information Commissioner in the state Information Commission constituted vide notification SRO 325 dated 19th October, 2009.
Mr. Muneer Ahmad Khan’s appointment as State Information Commissioner shall take effect from the date he assumes charge of the post. (KNS)
