“This was an excellent opportunity given to talented young boys and girls of Srinagar to learn basic acting skills. The 15 days intense acting foundation course was conducted under the mentorship of FTII’s faculty member Phonsok Ladakhi. Children learnt the basic acting techniques, Anapan breathing technique and different types of exercises which helped them in personality development as well,” said the spokesman.

On 12th Feb 2019, the closing ceremony of the course witnessed a live stage performance by the participants to mark the successful completion of the course, said the spokesman.   The event was graced by Lt Gen KJS Dhillon Chinar Corps Commander, Vishwas Nerlekar, representative of FTII and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen KJS Dhillon highlighted the Army’s continuous effort towards identifying and streamlining the energy of the youth in a positive direction, as also preserving the cultural heritage of J&K.  He also thanked FTII for taking the initiative in providing a platform to the upcoming talent of Kashmir valley, the spokesman said.
