JAMMU, JANUARY 30: Col. Ranveer Singh Jamwal, who hails from a village in district Samba, called on Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.

Col. Jamwal who has been recognized as the best mountaineer in India by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation in the year 2017, shared with Governor his views regarding promotion of adventure sports in the State and highlighted the need to frame a Sports policy at the State Level.

Jamwal for his recent achievements in mountaineering including climbing the highest mountains of all the seven continents and climbing 6 mountain peaks above 6000 meter in just 10 days. Col. Jamwal is among a few mountaineers in the world who had scaled Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, on three occasions.
