DDC Baramulla reviews action plan for Leprosy awareness campaign

BARAMULLA, JANUARY 24: A meeting of District Coordination Committee was held today here under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash to review the action plan prepared by the health department.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba, Chief Medical officer Baramulla, District Information Officer Chaudhary Mudasir Hussain, District Leprosy Officer (District Health Officer), BMOs, District Epidemiologist and various others.

The meeting discussed threadbare issues while as suggestions were also put forth before the Committee for successful implementation of Sparsh Leprosy Awareness campaign 2019 in the district.

It was informed in the meeting that the campaign will start from 30th of January and conclude on 13th of February, 2019.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC, who is also the Chairman of the Coordination Committee, asked the officers to work with close coordination and have a good approach with each other so that the awareness campaign will bring fruitful results. He said that people need to be sensitized about all welfare programmes so that they adopt precautionary measures and can be protected from various diseases.
