DC inspects facilities at PHC Pahalgam, PDD workshop

ANANTNAG, JANUARY 12: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Younis Malik today conducted surprise inspection of Primary Health Centre at Pahalgam and PDD workshop.

The DC took stock of Medicare facilities at PHC Pahalgam and directed the doctors and para-medical-staff to provide best services to the patients.

He also visited Pahalgam town to review the snow clearance from roads. The   affected persons of recent fire incident of Pahalgam town also met DC and sought government help for construction of their structures/ hotels which were gutted in the fire. The DC assured them that he will look into the matter.

The Deputy Commissioner directed SE, Xen PDD to provide transformers within a stipulated time frame at Pahalgam and also urged the Executive Engineer Mechanical Engineering Department to ensure road clearance and PDD Department to ensure power supply.

The SDM Pahalgam, Tehsildar Pahalgam and other senior officers from Police and Civil Administration were present during the visit.

Meanwhile, during his visit to PDD workshop, the DC inspected main store and other sections of office of PDD Executive Engineer.

He took stock of the material available for repairing of damaged transformers there. The DC was informed that more than eight quintals of copper wire with other material and transformer oil is available in the work shop, along with a stock of 63 KV capacity 20 new transformers.

The executive engineer PDD informed that the workshop   received 40 damaged transforms for repair work, of which, 4 to 5 transforms are repaired daily.

The DC directed the SE and Xen PDD to ensure repairing of transformers is carried out in double shifts so that the needs of the public are catered to.

On the occasion, the technicians and labours of PDD demanded sanctioning of incentive and other facilities for them.
