Several persons sustained pellet injuries on Thursday during clashes with government forces in Tral area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir.

Source said that soon after the gunfight broke out between the militants and government forces, the youth took to streets and clashed with government forces at many places in the area, resulting in pellet injuries to several persons.

Earlier, the government forces resorted to aerial firing after youth pelted them with stones, meanwhile, the area is observing a complete shutdown and internet services have also been suspended in the area.

The gunfight at Gulshan Pora Tral began today morning after forces launched the CASO in the area. A police official said that the CASO was launched in the area after inputs about the presence of militants in the area. He said that the army, J&K Police and the paramilitary CRPF personnel are on job.
