Srinagar, Dec 24: Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday held the meeting of its senior leaders and functionaries at the party’s head office here in which state’s present political situation and measurers vital for party’s overall growth were discussed at threadbare.

A party spokesman in a statement issued here today said that addressing party functionaries, PDP Vice President Abdul Rahman Veeri said that it has always been the cardinal principle of the PDP to continue pitching for dialogue and reconciliation so that the state could be saved from violence and pillage.  He added that muscular policy for Kashmir has never yielded any results and has instead proven counterproductive.
