PULWAMA, DECEMBER 01: To complete the languishing developmental projects in Pulwama district, the government has so far approved about 59 projects for funding through the Jammu & Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) Limited.

This was given out in a meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner Pulwama G M Dar to review the status of languishing projects in the district at DC office complex Pulwama

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, SE Hydraulic, SE R&B, Xen PHE, PDD, Chief Medical Officer, and executive officers of all concerned departments.

During the meeting, DDC took scheme wise review of projects undertaken by different departments and funded under the languishing projects in the district.

The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs 149.98 crore has been sanctioned in aggregate for 59 languishing projects in Power Sector, construction of filtration plants, road connectivity, Health and Education facilities in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the administration has flagged many projects in the district and are expecting to get funding for the projects for early completion. He directed all the concerned officers to prepare a list of those projects so that an aggregate demand can be raised for their expeditious completion. He further added that these projects are of public importance including basic welfare services like drinking water, health and sanitation, road connectivity and education.
