Pulwama: South Kashmir’s Pulwama town limped back to normalcy on Friday after witnessing spontaneous protests and shutdowns for last seven days.
Shops, business establishments and other institutions opened after a gap of seven days. Public transport also started plying on all routes of the district.
Pulwama town remained shut since the killing of Lashkar-e-Toiba district commander Firdous Mir last Friday morning at Saktipora Bijbhera followed by shutdown on polling day on 27th of this month.
Again on 28th and 29th of this month Pulwama town remained closed and observed a spontaneous shutdown over the killing of Naveed Jatt, a Lashkar-e-Toiba commander.
