Addressing the gathering, the DDC Budgam Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, who was also the chief guest on the occasion, said keeping education sector’s present scenario in mind, particularly the enrollment in Governmental Educational Institutions, more efforts and dedication is required from all concerned to achieve cent per cent enrollment.

The DC said that she is thrilled and appreciate the efforts of zonal education and allied stakeholders in making enrollment of 10,000 students under community mobilization programme possible during the year 2017-18.

Keeping in view the trend of enrollments in private institutions, achieving the results is a great achievement. Sehrish said the drive is aimed to increase enrollments in the government institutions for which mass awareness, as well as community mobilization at the grass root level, shall be carried out jointly.

Heads of educational institutions, teacher facility, students, organizers and NGOs were present on the occasion.

Earlier Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. GN Yatoo in his address said that the community mobilization programme is showing good results. He said more reforms and initiatives are in pipeline to give a flip and transform the education sector to provide quality education in State.

On the conclusion, DDC Budgam accompanied by Director School Education distributed textbooks among students from class 1 to class 8th.
