Srinagar, Nov 14: The students of Government Degree College, Ganderbal shined in the two-day ‘Kashmir University Athletic Meet’ as they topped the medals tally by clinching 7 gold and 2 silver in the event.
Shiraza Hilal won 3 gold medals for GDC Ganderbal. She won gold in 100 meters, 200 meters sprint and Long Jump. Hilal was adjudged best female athlete of the athletic meet.
Faisal Rashid of GDC Ganderbal won gold in 100, 200 and 400 meters race, while as Saheen Bilal won silver in 400 meters race and Yasir Ahmad won silver in Short Puts.
Faisal Rashid was adjudged best male athlete of the athletic meet.
Islamia College and Women College Srinagar were runner-up in men and women category respectively.
