BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 14: District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Baramulla today organised a function here at Dak Bungalow to celebrate the Children’s day in commemoration with the birthday of India’s first PM Pt Jawharlal Nehru.

Principal District and Sessions Judge Rajesh Shekri who is also the chairman of the Authority, was the chief guest whereas Sub-Judge Khursheed ul Islam was the guest of honor at the event.

Inmates of Orphanage School Baramulla, teachers and parents participated in the programme.

In a message to the students, the chief guest said that Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru had a passion for children whom he loved and groomed as future of the country. He said that there is need to safeguard the rights of children besides urging parents to care their wards with love and affection.

Secretary DLSA Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi, in his address deliberated upon the main aim of celebrating the day and said that this day projects the rights of the children so that they are not being deprived of their privileges.
