Baramulla: Refuting rumours about three stone pelters attempting to commit suicide by consuming poison inside police lockup in Baramulla, Police on Monday said that the trio got injured after a scuffle broke out between them.
SSP Baramulla Initiyaz Hussian said that the three inmates had a brawl with each other resulting in their injuries, he added that they are all stable.
“Rumour about some stone pelter committing suicide inside lock up in Baramulla Police Station is just a rumour. Three stone pelters who have been locked up under proper remand from the Court fought with each other and got injured. They have been given medical aid at DH Baramulla and are stable.” Said SSP
The trio have been identified as Shanu, Idrees and Anees of old town.
