“JKLF diplomatic bureau chief while expressing his deep and serious concern over the deteriorating situation in Indian held Jammu Kashmir said that militarized violence and use of lethal force by Indian army, especially in the rural areas of Kashmir valley like Shopian, Kulgam, Pulwama, Tral, Bejbihara, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Sonawari, Beerwah, Budgam, Handwara and Kupwara has put the lives and basic human rights of humans to jeopardy,” the statement said.

JKLF delegation also informed British foreign office about the lack of space for peaceful politics adding political leaders like Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik and others are on daily basis arrested or put under house arrest and are not let free to meet people anywhere in their own land, said the statement.

JKLF leader strongly stressed that Britain and others countries in the international community were failing in their obligation by remaining silent on this grim human issue, added the statement.

“Hereditary State Subject Law and Indian government’s desire to tinker with it on   pretext of Article 35 A also came up in the discussion during the meeting,” the statement said.
