Baramulla: Believe it or not, in a disgraceful incident, police claims to have have arrested a father on Monday from Kunzer for allegedly raping his young daughter in Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday

SSP Baramulla Mir Imtiyaz Hussain said that  brother of victim Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Majid Bhat of Kunzer filed a written compliant in the police station Kunzer alleging his father had raped his sister.

He added said that medical examination of the victim has prima facie confirmed rape.

“During course of investigation, statements of victim and other witnesses under relevant provisions of law were recorded. Subsequently the accused father Abdul Majid Bhat was arrested today by Police. Further investigation of the case is going on,”SSP Baramulla said.

He said that a case FIR NO 117/2018 under Section 376 RPC has been registered.
