Lal Singh for creating awareness about Govt’s welfare schemes

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 25-Minister for Forests, Ecology and Environment, Choudhary Lal Singh Sunday stressed on the concerned officers to create mass awareness among the people about welfare schemes like Jan Dhan Yojaja, Atal Pension Yojana, Fasal Bima Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bema Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana, Mudra Yojana launched by State and Central Governments in the State so that maximum lot to be benefited.

The Minister was interacting with the people during a public grievances redressal camp at Amir Nagar in Dabber at Bishnah, here today.

Chief Conservator of Forests, Farooq Gillani, Conservator East Circle Kh Qamar-ud-Din besides other officers of R&B, RDD, PDD, PHE, and Forests were present on the occasion.

The Minister informed that Government is making all out efforts to provide all basic amenities to the people of rural areas at par with urban pockets. He directed the officers to reach the people and solve their genuine problems without any delay. He said that it is prime duty of every department to mitigate the development related problems of the people at their doorsteps and also ensuring that the benefits of the schemes reach deserved lot well in time.

The Minister appealed the people to come forward and take advantage of the welfare schemes launched by the State and Centre governments.

Responding to the chatter of demands put forth by the locals, the Minister asserted that durable roads and enhanced infrastructure tops the development agenda of the present dispensation and focus is being laid on upgrading and improving the road network in rural and remote areas. He said Government is ensuring liberal funding under several State and centrally sponsored schemes to ensure overall development of the State.
