Speaking to Kashmir Images Senior Superintend of Police (SSP) Sopore Javaid Iqbal Said, “Students came out on the streets as they were demanding deferment of exams and meanwhile some students pelted stones on a CRPF picket located at Iqbal Market and the forces retaliated with some tear smoke shells.”

Principal Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sopore Abdul Roub Shaad told Kashmir Images that students of 11th standard staged the protest before 10 am outside of the institution. “They were demanding the deferment of their examination.
