The Jal Jeevan Mission directorate will oversee monitoring and coordination, while district and divisional officers, District Programme Management Units and water testing laboratories will handle sample collection, testing, documentation and daily reporting through the Water Quality Management Information System (WQMIS) portal.

The campaign aims to identify contamination hotspots, address gaps in water quality testing and strengthen digital monitoring. Awareness activities will focus on drinking water standards under Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) 10500, water conservation and prevention of water-borne diseases.

The department will also train community members, particularly women, in using Field Test Kits and uploading results to the WQMIS portal. Posters, pamphlets, placards and audio jingles will be used to promote safe water practices and awareness about water, sanitation and hygiene.

The Mission Directorate will continue monitoring and validating test results beyond the campaign period to strengthen regular water quality surveillance and ensure the timely resolution of identified issues.
