Kundal directed authorities to address accommodation shortfalls and ensure adequate facilities for government departments and employees. Health authorities were asked to ensure the availability of medical staff, healthcare facilities and ambulances along the Jammu-Ramban National Highway for emergency response.

Road-owning agencies were directed to repair damaged stretches and potholes, particularly at accident-prone and congestion-prone locations, set daily targets and submit regular progress reports. The need to coordinate with Traffic Police to ease bottlenecks and maintain smooth vehicular movement was also stressed.

The meeting discussed recurring landslide vulnerabilities along the Ramban stretch of the National Highway. Officials informed the Divisional Commissioner that traffic was currently moving on two lanes and a detailed project report was being prepared for a long-term solution. Kundal stressed that any intervention must be based on scientific and engineering assessments.

The Jammu Municipal Corporation and other agencies were asked to improve streetlighting, maintain roads and footpaths, ensure cleanliness in colonies and public spaces, and act against unauthorised roadside vending and encroachments.

Kundal also directed departments and executing agencies to inform Traffic Police and the district administration before undertaking road-cutting, utility works or construction within the city to facilitate advance traffic management and minimise inconvenience to commuters.

The meeting was attended by IGP Traffic J&K, the Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, heads of power, health, estates, tourism and food and civil supplies departments, senior road and highway officials, and other officers.
