Baramulla: Baramulla Police have recovered gold earrings reported missing from a residence in Kanlibagh after an investigation involving technical analysis and CCTV footage.
Police said a complaint was received at Police Station Baramulla on October 12 from Fayaz Ahmad Khan, a Kanlibagh resident, who reported that his wife’s gold earrings had gone missing from their home on October 4 while the family was away in Srinagar.
Following the complaint, police registered FIR No. 167/2026 under Sections 303(2) and 331(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and launched an investigation.
During the investigation, the domestic helper was questioned. Police said the missing earrings were subsequently recovered from her possession with the assistance of technical analysis and CCTV footage.
Further investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, police said.
