KULGAM: The Under-14 cricket team of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Aminoo, Kulgam, has been selected to represent the Jammu region at the 55th National Sports Meet scheduled to be held in Bengaluru.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Shahzad Alam, who also serves as chairperson of the Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC), interacted with the players ahead of the tournament and encouraged them to perform with confidence, discipline and sportsmanship at the national-level event.
He extended his best wishes to the team and urged the players to bring laurels to the school and the district.
During the programme, sports kits provided by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) were distributed among the selected players.
Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Aminoo congratulated the players and coaching staff on the team’s selection, describing the opportunity to represent the Jammu region at the national level as a significant achievement for the school.
The principal expressed confidence that the team would perform well and showcase its talent at the competition in Bengaluru.
