TANGMARG: 19 year-old labourer died after a tractor overturned in the Ferozpora stream area of Reram in Tangmarg on Tuesday, police said.
The deceased was identified as Shahid Ahmad Lone, son of Farooq Ahmad Lone, a resident of Reram.
According to reports, the tractor overturned in the Ferozpora stream, resulting in serious injuries to Lone. He was immediately rushed by fellow labourers to Sub-District Hospital Tangmarg, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The incident sparked grief in the area, with residents and members of various political and religious organisations expressing condolences with the bereaved family.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
