ANANTNAG: Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Achabal on Sunday organised its Annual Day-cum-Grand Parent Teacher Meet, bringing together students, parents, teachers and members of the local community.
A key feature of the event was the release of the school’s first annual magazine, Shuhaab, which showcases students’ literary work, creative contributions and achievements.
Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Abdul Majeed Larmi attended the function as chief guest, while District Education Planning Officer (DEPO) Anantnag Assadullah Mir was the guest of honour. Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Achabal Liyaqat Ahmad Chachi and Block Medical Officer (BMO) Achabal Dr Akhter Hussain were also present.
Addressing the gathering, Larmi highlighted the role of teachers in shaping future generations and appreciated the efforts of the school in organising the event and publishing its maiden magazine.
Mir stressed the importance of cooperation among parents, teachers and the community in promoting quality education and the overall development of children.
The programme featured cultural and educational performances by students, who presented a range of items showcasing their talent and creativity.
School authorities said the event was aimed at strengthening interaction between parents and teachers while recognising students’ academic, cultural and co-curricular achievements.
