According to officials, the proposed Tribal Tourism Village will serve as a dedicated destination showcasing the unique traditions, lifestyle and cultural heritage of tribal communities in the region, while offering an additional attraction for visitors to Poonch.

The project is expected to create employment and livelihood opportunities for local youth, encourage community participation in tourism-related activities and contribute to the overall development of the tourism sector in the district.

Officials said the initiative is also expected to help integrate Poonch more closely with the wider tourism circuit of Jammu and Kashmir while promoting sustainable and community-based tourism in the border district.
