SRINAGAR: A 58-year-old man was killed and several others injured after a car collided with an autorickshaw in the Raj Bagh area of Srinagar on Wednesday, officials said.
The accident occurred when a Hyundai Venue (JK01BD-0064), travelling from Kursoo towards the city centre, collided with an autorickshaw (JK04D-0106) in Raj Bagh, officials said.
The drivers of both vehicles and passengers sustained injuries and were shifted to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital for treatment.
One of the injured, identified as Abdul Rehman Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammed and a resident of Rawalpora, Beerwah in Budgam district, was declared brought dead at the hospital, officials said.
Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation into the accident.
