JAMMU: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders on Tuesday reviewed public issues and grievances raised during recent district-level outreach programmes and discussed strategies for taking them up with the government.
The meeting, held at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, was chaired by J&K BJP president and Rajya Sabha member Sat Sharma and attended by Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, BJP general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul, general secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria and party legislators.
According to a party statement, the meeting assessed feedback received during district headquarters-wise outreach tours led by Sunil Sharma, during which BJP legislators interacted with public delegations across Jammu and Kashmir.
The participants discussed issues raised by residents and resolved to pursue them with the government through appropriate forums, seeking their resolution.
Sat Sharma said BJP legislators would continue to raise public concerns both inside and outside the Legislative Assembly and hold the government accountable on governance-related issues.
Sunil Sharma said the outreach exercise had highlighted a range of concerns affecting people across Jammu and Kashmir. He said BJP legislators would continue to follow up on these matters and seek action from the government.
Ashok Koul emphasised coordination between elected representatives and party workers and called for active public participation in the BJP’s ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. He said the campaign was aimed at promoting public service and community engagement.
The meeting also discussed upcoming party programmes and organisational activities.
