JAMMU/BANIHAL: Police have launched investigations after two unidentified bodies were recovered in separate incidents in Jammu and Ramban districts on Tuesday.
In Jammu, a body was found near a bus stand shed in the Balicharana area. Officials said local residents noticed the body and informed the police, who reached the spot and initiated necessary proceedings.
The identity of the deceased had not been established till the filing of this report, while the cause and circumstances of the death were yet to be ascertained, officials said.
In a separate incident, an unidentified body was recovered from the Chamalwas area of Banihal in Ramban district.
Officials said the body was shifted to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal and kept in the mortuary for identification. The identity of the deceased could not be immediately established.
Police have registered the cases and started investigations into both incidents.
