JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Swimming Association on Monday flagged off the J&K Masters Swimming Team for participation in the 22nd National Masters Championships-2026.
The team, comprising 15 to 20 swimmers across 12 age categories ranging from 25 years to 80 years and above, was flagged off from the MA Stadium Swimming Pool in Jammu.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by Association President Ramandeep Singh Soodan, General Secretary Bharat Kumar Sharma, Treasurer Vikas Mahajan and Joint Secretary-cum-Coach Babita Rani.
The National Masters Championships will be held from September 11 to 13 at Champions Aquatic Academy, H.L. City, Sector-37, Bahadurgarh, Haryana. The event is being organised by the Swimming Federation of India (SFI).
According to the association, the J&K contingent comprises experienced masters swimmers who will compete in various age-group categories while representing the Union Territory at the national-level event.
