According to figures shared during the programme, around 36,000 cases have been sanctioned under Mission YUVA so far, while nearly 32,000 young entrepreneurs have received disbursements. The overall amount disbursed under the programme has reached around ₹1,750 crore in a little over a year.

Chatterjee said the focus should extend beyond setting up enterprises to ensuring their sustainability and expansion. He directed the bank’s operational heads to continue providing guidance and support to beneficiaries, particularly to facilitate access to further finance where required for expansion.

Secretary Labour and Employment and Revenue Kumar Rajeev Ranjan said coordination between the government and J&K Bank had contributed to the implementation of Mission YUVA. He said the programme was aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment as avenues for addressing unemployment.

Mission YUVA Director Harvinder Singh said the programme had recorded around ₹1,750 crore in disbursements in just over a year and credited the bank’s field-level network with facilitating the implementation. He noted that more than 3,100 disbursements had been made during the Big Week Campaign alone.

General Manager (RAM) Sanjay Gupta, who welcomed the participants, said the bank was working with the government under Mission YUVA to promote entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for young people in Jammu and Kashmir.

The closing programme was attended by senior officials of J&K Bank, including Chief General Manager Ashutosh Sareen, General Managers Sanjay Gupta and Suresh Kumar Chowdhary, and Deputy General Managers Rosy Tikoo, Shamim Ahmad and Abdul Majid. Divisional heads and zonal and cluster heads from across Jammu and Kashmir participated virtually.
