Speaking at the event, Chatterjee praised the contribution of the two retiring officers and said their long years of service had significantly contributed to the Bank’s growth and development.

He said the retirement of senior leaders results in the loss of valuable institutional memory, experience and professional wisdom, and noted that both officers had served the Bank with competence, integrity and commitment in various important assignments.

Highlighting the importance of leadership continuity, he said the Bank’s emerging leadership would be responsible for carrying forward the legacy built by senior officers. He also wished both retirees good health and a fulfilling post-retirement life.

Rakesh Koul, who joined J&K Bank on October 25, 1989, expressed gratitude to the Bank’s leadership and colleagues for their support and guidance throughout his career. He described his association with the institution as an honour and credited the Bank for the opportunities and professional growth he received during his service.

Syed Rais Maqbool, who joined the Bank on October 18, 1989, said J&K Bank had been a defining part of his life and thanked the leadership, colleagues and customers for their trust and support over the years. He said he felt privileged to have contributed to the institution’s journey and transformation.

Senior officers present at the farewell function recalled their professional association with the two executives and acknowledged their contribution to the Bank’s institutional growth and development.
