SRINAGAR: A 60-year-old bus conductor died after falling from a moving bus following a collision with an auto-rickshaw in the Muniwar area of Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.
According to officials, the conductor was standing at the bus door when an auto-rickshaw allegedly struck the vehicle, causing him to lose balance and fall onto the road.
The man sustained serious head injuries and was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Majeed Teli (60), son of Ghulam Mohammad Teli, a resident of Nawabazar in Srinagar.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the accident.
