Anantnag: A medical store in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district was sealed during a joint inspection conducted by police and officials of the Drug Control Department on Saturday, officials said.
The inspection was carried out as part of a drive to verify compliance with regulations governing the operation of medical retail outlets.
According to officials, Amreen Medical Store at Trahpoo, Achabal, was found to be operating with an expired licence and was allegedly in violation of several prescribed requirements.
Officials said the inspection team also found the non-availability of electronic records, cache covers of certain scheduled drugs and unhygienic conditions at the premises, besides other discrepancies.
Following the inspection, the medical store was sealed by the competent authorities. Officials said further action would be taken in accordance with the law.
