SRINAGAR: Security forces on Monday arrested three suspected overground workers of terrorists following recovery of explosives from their possession in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The officials said three motorcycle-borne individuals were taken into custody after their body search led to the recovery of two hand grenades and some incriminating materials linked to the Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit.
The arrested persons were identified as Junaid Ahmad Dar, Amir Yousuf and Junaid Muzaffar.
In another operation, security forces recovered arms and ammunition from an abandoned Kashmiri Pandit house in Sopore area of Baramulla district, the officials said.
They said the recoveries included one AK assault rifle, three magazines, 72 rounds and four hand grenades. (PTI)
