Given her continued involvement in drug trafficking activities, Jammu Police prepared a detailed dossier and submitted it to the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, seeking her preventive detention under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act.

The spokesperson said the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, issued the detention warrant, which the Jammu Police then executed.

The peddler has been lodged in the District Jail Amphalla, they said.

Jammu Police reiterated that strict preventive and legal action will continue against drug traffickers and other elements involved in the illegal narcotics trade to curb the drug supply and strengthen the ‘Nasha Mukt’ Jammu campaign.
