Officials informed him that dredging of two major channels from Saidapora Bridge towards Firdousa Abad and Sazgaripora had been completed, while work on opening and cleaning the remaining interior channels was in progress.

The Vice Chairman also inspected the Watermaster machine deployed for channel cleaning and reviewed its utilisation in maintaining navigational routes.

During the inspection, officials briefed him on the progress of the works, challenges faced during execution and measures being taken to complete the remaining tasks.

Shah directed officers to ensure timely completion of all ongoing works and stressed the need for regular field monitoring, optimum use of machinery and coordination among field teams to restore navigational connectivity and improve water circulation in the two lakes.

He also emphasised that conservation and restoration measures should be carried out in a manner that protects the ecological health of the water bodies while improving navigation, water flow and overall functionality of the interconnected lake system.
