Srinagar, Aug 13: J&K Police, in collaboration with civil administration, educational institutions and local communities, organised Tiranga rallies across several districts of Kashmir on Thursday as part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of Independence Day.
The rallies were held in Ganderbal, Kulgam, Pulwama and Awantipora to promote patriotism, national unity and public participation in the nationwide campaign.
In Ganderbal, a mega Tiranga rally was organised in Kangan by the police and civil administration. Led by SDM Kangan Dr Nazir Ahmad and SDPO Kangan Rajeev Raina, the rally began at Government Degree College Kangan and concluded at Boys Higher Secondary School Kangan. Students, officials and local residents participated in large numbers, carrying the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans.
In Kulgam, police organised a rally in the Qaimoh area, which saw participation from youth, civil society members, security personnel and local residents.
Pulwama Police organised rallies at Rajpora, Kakapora, Sangerwani, Tujan and Hawal in collaboration with the civil administration and educational institutions. At Rajpora, participants marched from Degree College Rajpora to Sports Stadium Rajpora, while similar events were held at other locations with students and police personnel taking part.
In Awantipora, Police Station Khrew organised a Tiranga rally under the supervision of SDPO Pampore and SHO Khrew. Students, teachers and members of civil society participated in the event, carrying the National Flag and promoting messages of unity and national solidarity.
Police said the rallies were aimed at strengthening police-public relations and encouraging greater public participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign while reinforcing the values of unity, peace, integrity and patriotism.
