Deputy Director (Trainings) Tahira Tabassum said the programme was part of efforts to strengthen the craft sector in Jammu and Kashmir. She said NIFT faculty members conducted a session on creative packaging and its role in enhancing the branding of handmade products.

The workshop is the first of 10 programmes planned in collaboration with NIFT under RAMP. The programmes will focus on practical skills related to packaging and branding to help artisans improve the marketability of their products in domestic and international markets.

Most of the participants were members of Noor Ari Producer Company, a women-led collective with nearly 600 members.
