Anantnag: District Development Commissioner Anantnag Dr Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat on Tuesday reviewed the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and Jammu and Kashmir Competitive Improvement Project (JKCIP) in the agriculture and allied sectors for 2026-27.
The meeting reviewed physical and financial progress under various components of the two programmes and discussed measures to expedite implementation and address pending issues.
Officials informed the meeting that 53,440 applications had been registered under various HADP projects, of which 38,187 had been approved and 15,590 units established. Of the established units, 15,540 had been tracked on KSOT.
Under Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs), 61,198 farmers had been registered and 40,920 farms added to the platform. On the JKCIP portal, 6,350 applications had been registered, with 5,263 approved and 962 units established.
The meeting was also informed that 22,310 farmers had enrolled on Daksh Kisan, with 17,450 completing various courses aimed at improving their skills and knowledge.
Bhat directed officers to expedite disposal of pending applications and increase registrations under Daksh Kisan, KKGs, HADP and JKCIP. He also called for regular monitoring of the programmes and timely completion of projects so that benefits reach farmers and other targeted beneficiaries within the prescribed timelines.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Deputy Director Fisheries, Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dooru and other concerned officers.
