Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with civil administration and security forces, organised Tiranga rallies at several locations in Shopian, Pulwama and Baramulla districts ahead of Independence Day.
In Shopian, a Tiranga bike rally was organised jointly by police and the district administration from District Police Lines to the main town. Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and civil administration officials participated in the rally, which was led by the Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police, Shopian.
In Pulwama, Tiranga rallies were held at Rajpora, Lassipora, Sangerwani, Rahmoo and Hawal in collaboration with local educational institutions. Students, teachers, civil society members, government employees, police and CRPF personnel participated in the events.
Participants carried the National Flag and raised slogans during the rallies, with organisers highlighting the themes of national unity, peace, harmony and responsible citizenship.
In Pattan, Baramulla Police, in collaboration with the 2nd Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), organised a Tiranga cycle rally from Babateng to Railway Station Pattan. Police personnel and SSB troops participated in the rally while carrying the National Flag along the route.
The rallies were organised as part of activities ahead of Independence Day and were aimed at encouraging public participation and engagement with the celebrations.
