Srinagar: A four-member team led by Jammu Tawi Golf Course Secretary Manav Gupta won the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) Pro-Am title held alongside the J&K Open 2026 in Srinagar.
The winning team comprised Amarjeet Singh, Sameer Bakto and professional golfer Arindham Soodan from Jammu and Kashmir. The team emerged victorious against a competitive field in the Pro-Am event, which featured leading PGTI professionals and amateur golfers from across the country.
The winners were felicitated during the prize distribution ceremony by former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah in the presence of Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani and Professional Golf Tour of India Chief Executive Officer Amandeep Johl.
Speaking after the victory, Gupta congratulated his teammates for their performance and team spirit.
According to the organisers, the J&K Open has been hosted at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course for three consecutive editions between 2022 and 2024 before this year’s tournament in Srinagar. They said the event has helped promote golf and strengthen Jammu and Kashmir’s presence on the national golfing calendar.
