Minister assures priority redressal of public grievances

Jammu: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Information Technology, Youth Services and Sports, and Science and Technology Satish Sharma on Monday met several deputations from different districts of the Jammu division and discussed a range of public issues.

According to an official statement, the deputations, comprising representatives of social organisations, trade bodies, youth groups and local residents, raised issues related to road connectivity, drinking water supply, power infrastructure, sports facilities, ration distribution, digital services, employment and other development-related matters.

The minister assured the delegations that all genuine issues would be examined on priority and taken up with the concerned departments for early resolution.

Sharma said the government was committed to strengthening public infrastructure, improving service delivery and ensuring transparent and people-centric governance. He also stressed the importance of public participation in policymaking and directed departments to adopt a responsive approach in implementing welfare and development schemes.

He said timely redressal of public grievances would remain a priority of the government, the statement added.
