The administration clarified that on-the-spot registration for the pilgrimage is available only at the authorised registration centre at the Baltal Base Camp, subject to verification of the prescribed documents and fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Pilgrims have been advised to obtain registration only through the authorised facility and avoid dealing with touts, middlemen or unauthorised persons offering registration or other assistance in return for money.

The administration also urged pilgrims to report any suspected malpractice or suspicious activity to the authorities at the base camp or the District Control Room in Ganderbal, adding that efforts were underway to ensure a transparent and hassle-free registration process.
