Nowshera (Rajouri): Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Tuesday inaugurated a conference hall constructed at the PWD Dak Bungalow in Nowshera at a cost of ₹2.49 crore.
According to an official statement, the Deputy Chief Minister said the facility would strengthen the area’s administrative infrastructure by providing a venue for official meetings, conferences and public interactions.
During his visit, Choudhary also inspected ongoing road, bridge and other infrastructure projects in the Nowshera constituency. He reviewed the progress of the works and directed the concerned officers to expedite execution while ensuring quality, transparency and adherence to timelines.
He said timely completion of development projects was essential for improving connectivity, civic amenities and public service delivery.
The Deputy Chief Minister also held a public outreach programme during which he interacted with local residents, public representatives and various delegations. He assured them that genuine public grievances would be addressed on priority through coordinated efforts of the concerned departments.
The programme was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nowshera, Superintending Engineer, PWD, Executive Engineers and other senior officers of the district administration and line departments, the statement said.
